Workshop flyer for “Composting Climate Emotions Through Art,” an in-person climate emotions art workshop in San Francisco on April 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

About the workshop

Our climate emotions can be wide-ranging, from anxiety about changing weather patterns to anger about government inaction and grief over biodiversity loss. These feelings can be difficult to carry alone. Join us for an arts-based workshop guided by local art therapists and climate-aware therapists, who will create a supportive space for expressing and processing climate emotions through creative practice.

Led by Ariella Cook-Shonkoff, this in-person workshop offers a supportive, arts-based space to explore climate emotions through painting, ripping, drawing, and writing. Participants are invited to process feelings such as anxiety, anger, and grief in community, with no art experience required.
